The Wiastures Creative Process!
At MBMWiastures pride and precision is an important factor in making “Wiastures” Sculptures.
The first process starts with a consultation between you and I for the commissioned sculpture. At your request of a particular sculpture, we will discuss the specifics of your project. This is a good time to talk about the size, details of your sculpture and overall project. Once the design is decided upon, I will further evaluate the project and then select the needed materials to design your sculpture. If the project is a person (for memorabilia), I will collect photographs from online sources you specify or via email to study the form of the person. This process will help me in the creative design of your very own Wiasture sculpture.
Other projects are researched appropriately to make a quality sculpture for you. The more information you provide of any project; I can better estimate the length of time it would take to complete and ship your sculpture or personal memorabilia.
In the beginning a skeletal framework is created with wire or other objects to serve as a foundation. It’s shaped accordingly, layering it with materials like foil, wire and other objects to make it as detailed as possible. All Wiastures vary in size and time to sculpt. Some have taken days and weeks. Photographs of the project’s phases are taken to showcase my artwork in the MBMWiastures online portfolio, at galleries, on my social media networks and competitions.
During each phase of any Wiasture’s development, it is examined and refined to ensure quality workmanship. Wiastures are made to be movable, so each project requires motion testing to evaluate sustainability. Feedback from the MBMWiastures client is important before completing a project. We do require you to submit your feedback in writing to [email protected]. If further feedback is required, you will be contacted for a consultation over the phone.
Once the final stages of your project are complete, your sculpture is ready for packing. Then it is shipped to its rightful owner.
